Organized by Allan Spielman of Retrofest The 1st
Annual Happy fest will tribute the 1969 music of the famous
Woodstock Music and Arts Festival with a musical lineup to
sample the original show in 1969. It will be held on Monday,
July 30, 2012 through Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 7:00pm –
12:00am. Retrofest is an ongoing grassroots effort that
recreates famous festivals of the late 60s through early
70s. Participants are donating their time. There is a
minimum $5 donation at the door.
Celebrating the music of
John Sebastian, Sweetwater, Bert Sommer, Tim Harden, Quill,
Santana, Mountain, Janis Joplin, Sly and the Family Stone,
Grateful Dead, CCR, The Who, Jefferson Airplane (Hot Tuna),
Joe Cocker, Country Joe and the Fish, Ten Years After, CSNY,
The Band, Johnny Winter, Paul Butterfield, and Jimi Hendrix.
